We are honored to feature Dr. Latonya M. Peterson as the Cover Story of Verses & Visions: Illuminating the Literary Landscape International Magazine — a remarkable educator, children’s book author, and community leader whose work continues to inspire young minds across the globe.

Born and raised in Georgia, USA, Dr. Peterson brings nearly two decades of teaching excellence to the field of higher education. She currently serves as a Criminal Justice Professor at American InterContinental University and is an adjunct professor in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Business, Management, and Leadership at several institutions. Their stories focus on social-emotional learning, kindness, meaningful life lessons, and adventurous storytelling. Impressively, the last six titles reached #1 on Amazon, and her book Braylen the Bear & Friends: Forever Friends earned the Ella’ Ways Book Award, a distinction that celebrates kindness through literature.

As beautifully echoed in her guiding words:

“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” — Nelson Mandela
