The much-anticipated “Obra at Kulay: International Exhibition” officially opened on February 22, 2026, at Ozlook Resort, marking a vibrant and meaningful celebration of National Arts Month. Spearheaded by Artista de Colores and supported by Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo (MeraCreative Art Studio), the international exhibition gathered local and global artists in a powerful showcase of color, culture, and creative unity.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by esteemed Guest of Honor Sir Danny De Luna, whose steadfast advocacy for the arts continues to empower both emerging and established creatives. Joining him was Ma’am Lizelle Baybay of Ozlook Resort, whose generous partnership and hospitality provided an inspiring venue where art and nature harmoniously met.

Artworks that Speak in Color and Form

The exhibition presents a dynamic range of visual expressions:

Impasto abstracts layered with bold textures evoke emotional depth, where thick strokes of crimson, cobalt, and gold create movement and intensity. These works invite viewers to experience color not just visually, but viscerally.

Serene landscapes capture tranquil seascapes, golden horizons, and lush countryside scenes—offering quiet reflections on nature’s healing presence and the Filipino spirit’s deep connection to land and water.

Expressive portraits reveal stories of identity and resilience. Through intricate brushwork and luminous palettes, the faces on canvas radiate strength, vulnerability, and cultural pride.

Contemporary symbolic pieces merge realism and imagination—depicting dreamlike forests, spiritual imagery, and metaphorical figures that explore faith, hope, and transformation.

International contributions add diverse stylistic influences, blending modern techniques with cultural motifs that highlight art’s universal language.

Together, the collection forms a vivid dialogue between artists across borders—proving that while styles differ, the language of art remains shared and deeply human.

A Celebration of Community and Collaboration

The opening day was marked by fellowship and inspiration as artists met face-to-face, exchanged stories, and celebrated their collective achievements. Guests and art enthusiasts enjoyed the refreshing ambiance of Ozlook Resort, where the natural surroundings amplified the exhibition’s vibrant energy.

With the support of Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo (MeraCreative Art Studio), the exhibition reinforces a shared mission: to uplift visual arts in Quezon, across the Philippines, and beyond international shores. “Obra at Kulay” stands as a testament to what is possible when artists unite—bridging cultures, nurturing creativity, and building a thriving artistic community.

As the exhibition continues its run, it promises to inspire visitors with its rich spectrum of colors, textures, and stories.

Congratulations to all participating artists, Artista de Colores, and Ozlook Resort for a truly successful and inspiring opening!
