Lemery, Batangas – August 16, 2025. The spirit of creativity and cultural unity came alive at the grand opening of the “Sining ng Damdamin: Art of Emotion International Exhibit” held at Cuadro Art Gallery inside Victory Town Center, Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. The event marked the beginning of a month-long celebration of artistic expression, human connection, and the healing power of the arts and literature.
The opening day was a resounding success, graced by esteemed guests, art enthusiasts, and participating artists from the Philippines. The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony was led by distinguished Guests of Honor: Rosel Mendoza, Irene Rita Becerra, and Edgar F. Becerra. The program opened with heartfelt messages and reflections on the transformative role of art in society, with speeches delivered by Marlene Ayen Galit (Founder of Artista de Colores), Sam Maglinte (Administrator of Cuadro Art Gallery), and inspirational contributions from Carlos Alferez Castro and Lino Acasio.
The gathering featured a soulful Opening Prayer by Ptr. Edgardo Pabanil and was highlighted by a special live performance from Percival Denolo, who mesmerized the audience with his unique Mud Shadow Art. Adding to the richness of the event, Guests of Honor including Atty. Marj de Castro and Rey Ortega delivered messages of support, underscoring the significance of art as a bridge across cultures and generations.
Over 20 passionate artists attended the opening day of this international showcase, among them Teena Maaliw Octaviano, Ryan de Roxas, Rosel Dimaculangan, Val Pabulos, Rainelda Alva Eroles, Alver De Ocampo, Whishad (Nonameartist), Guia Anne Salumbides, Ian Garcia, John Albert Adame, Gregg Badillo, Esang Bejasa Adame, Iyon Maglinte Oracion, Joel Ulit, and Mario Pabon. Their works—diverse in style, medium, and emotion—stand as testaments to the universal language of art.
The “Sining ng Damdamin” International Exhibit is jointly organized by Artista de Colores (founded by Marlene Ayen Galit) and Art Heals (founded by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo), two organizations committed to fostering cultural exchange, healing, and unity through the arts and poetry.
This exhibit is more than an art and poetry event—it is a movement. It reflects the power of art and literature to inspire, to heal, and to connect people from different walks of life. Visitors are invited to experience the vibrant fusion of eclectic artworks and poetry that capture the essence of the human spirit.
