Rose Abordo O 'Hara, a talented and passionate Visual Artist from Naples, Florida, USA will be staging her 3rd Solo Art Exhibit "Radiant Reflections: A Woman's Perspective:" this coming September 1, 2024 to be held at KafeiTan Coffee Bar in Lucena City, Quezon, Philippines. Immerse yourself in an eclectic collection of stunning masterpieces depicted in attractive and vibrant hues and get a glimpse of the artist's world. Exhibit runs until September 15, 2024.
About the Artist:
“ As an artist , I want my artworks to Speak not only for me , but for every one” - Rose Abordo O'Hara
O'Hara confesses that she is an ardent art lover . She lived a life yearning her childhood passion of being an Artist . But when the time comes for her to decide what her future will be, she went to Nursing School , instead of Art School . After graduating from Nursing , she migrated to New York City, USA and worked As a Registered Nurse at New York Hospital. Here she attended informal Art Classes under some established and well known New York artists and did very well. After a while, with the work pressure associated with being a nurse and raising a family, her passion for art took a back seat and she put aside easel, palette and brushes . After her retirement from nursing in 2011, she moved to Naples, Florida with her husband and her Art Journey took off with a boom. After almost three decades of interrupted passion in arts, Rose found herself immersed on painting, contented in her comfort zone . The artist believes that love of beauty is a taste and that creation of beauty is an art . Her artwork is diverse which includes portrait paintings , landscapes, seascapes, and figurative paintings. Her acrylic on canvas paintings with layers of bold brush strokes and vibrant colors, convey awesome, inspiring, and sublime characteristics.









She received an award from Naples ART Association.

When did your art journey begin?
Answer: Since my early childhood , I have these passion and love for art . I dreamed of becoming a famous artist someday . Growing up in the Philippines in the 60's if you are a girl , there 's a notion that you will be a nurse and will go abroad in your future . And yes , I did just that . I became a Registered Nurse , migrated to New York City and worked as an RN . My stay in NYC gave me a great chance of attending Art Classes with notable New York artists .I was happy then working as a nurse and being commissioned for my artworks . That happiness was short lived . With the pressure of being a young nurse and raising a family , I have to put aside my easel , paints and brushes . Not until my retirement from Nursing and moving to Naples , Florida with my husband when I truly enjoy a jump start of my Journey in Art. I was in my Life 's comfort zone . I found myself actively painting and being commissioned for my artworks . I actively joined Naples Art Association and several International Artist Groups . I did not forget giving back to the community by doing " Art Show for a Cause " in collaboration with The Philippine - American Association in Naples , Florida . And thats how my Journey in Art started .
Describe your art style.
Answer: About my style in painting ? In the beginning , I have diversity in my style . But lately , I am into painting Figurative Artworks and enjoying it very much .
Where do you draw inspiration for your pieces?
Answer: I have few ways of drawing inspirations in my painting ... mostly from my imagination of something beautiful . I also love to study the styles and techniques of famous artist.
Answer: For you, what is the importance of art?
Answer: I am in the Autumn of my Life , yet I feel young because of Art . Now, I see more beauty in life making me look and feel young . I paint mostly beautiful feminine beauties and seeing the youth in them makes me happy .
Do you have any art influences and who are they?
Answer: To mention few of my Art Influencers, I have Pino , an American - Italian Artist . I am in awe of his style of feminine, romantic women. Other Art Influencers of mine are the Old Masters. I studied their style of paintings and did Painting Tributes to them . And they are: John William Waterhouse, Pierre August Cot , Frederick Leighton and William Adolf de Bouguereau.
Do you believe that art has healing effects?
Answer: I am a believer. In my life, I had countless physical and emotional hurts . I honestly believe that ART has healing effect through my own experiences . In those times of my melancholy, I would reach out for my easel and my brushes and let my blues away.
What is your favorite masterpiece?
Answer: My favorite Masterpiece should evokes strong emotions , sparks imaginations and challenges . It should also brings a fresh perspective and innovative approach.
What is your message to young, and aspiring artists out there?
Answer: . My message to young aspiring artists is to believe in themselves .They are equip with innate talent and they can do anything they wish to accomplish . Use that God given talent and count their blessings .
