Kenneth Ebora Macatangay invites art connoisseurs and the public to his Solo Art Exhibition "History and Imagination" from July 16-31, 2024 at KafeiTan Coffee Bar, Lucena City, Quezon. Opening ceremony will be on July 16, 2024 at 3 P.M.
Get ready to indulge your senses as you immerse in his dreamy creations with an exquisite blend of history and imagination. Kenneth can be described as a versatile artist. He is a photographer, businessman, and a musician aside from being a visual artist. Macatangay hails from Lucban, Quezon and is an active member of Lucban Artist Guild, Quezon Artists, and Art Association of the Philippines.
He depicts ethereal art pieces of old building structures and historical landscapes using his signature multiple stroke styles in bold and vivid hues. With his creative imagination, Macatangay can even paint old buildings that never existed from the past straight out of a dream!

1. When did your art journey begin?
Answer: My art journey began in the year 2021.
2. How do you describe your signature art style?
Answer: My artworks are depicted with vibrant colors and fill of details.
3. Do you look up to famous painters and who are they?
Answer: I look up to Rembrandt & Goya.
4. What is the importance of art in our society?
Answer: Art is the identity of every country, every culture, every tribe and every generation has its own artistic style. In our society the art gives more life and express what we feel more than words can do.
5. Do you believe that art heals?
Answer: Yes, because there is an art therapy for stressed people, soldiers from war, abused children, and psychological treatments which help the patient express what they feel.
6. What is the main theme of your artworks?
Answer: My main subjects include old structures, Bible stories & imagination.
7. Where do you draw inspiration for your works?
Answer: I draw inspiration from my experiences, history, movies, and dreams.
8. Do you have any future plans of exploring other artists genres?
Answer: Yes, most of the time if I learn something new like a new technique, I combine it with my previous art style.
9. Discuss your upcoming exhibits.
Answer: My next art exhibits will be about historical places and the next ones will be about Bible Stories.
10. What is your message to young and aspiring artists?
Answer: Every artist must continue to learn something new and upgrade and then develop a technique that can be identified as their art identity, that on a first glance the people already know that it is you're artwork even before they saw your signature
